The Manila Seedling Bank Foundation Inc. an environmental NGO (non-governmental organization) was founded in 1977 initially as a seedling producer. We have since grown into an organization with diversified operations dealing mainly with the greening of the environment. To date MSBFI has enlarged its scope of activities to several areas in Luzon totaling 13,344 hectares of land.

Our research findings have been tested in commercial scale plantations, livestock, leafmeal processing, seed sourcing and processing, composing and energy utilization o forest products. Our vast record of successful plantation development has attracted the attention of experts abroad for our nurse-climax tree farming technology and the continuing number of private firms who engage our services for their planting requirements.

Today the Manila Seedling Bank Foundation Inc. continues to be a strong and dedicated partner in saving the environment. Our products, expertise and experience are valuable to government agencies, companies, private organizations and individuals who like us recognize the need to protect nature and enhance our environment for our children and the future generations to come.

Our Mission

To engage in the production of the tree seedlings and planting materials to support the tree planting needs of the government and to provide the private sector with quality fruit trees and other tree species for orchards, tree farms and industrial plantations.
To undertake contract reforestation for government and private corporations.
To establish and develop wood biomass energy and agro-forestry plantations while simultaneously reforesting denuded lands.
To propagate and distribute ornamental plants and fruit trees for the beautification and greening projects of municipal and urban areas.
To continually undertake research in afforestation and reforestation management technologies that would improve current plantation development practices.
